History
.
Kart Pro opens for business as one of the first competition kart component manufacturers in the United Kingdom, providing racers worldwide with quality aluminum hubs, motor mounts, wheels and other accessories.
Talented British 250cc Super Kart racer and engineer Paul Molloy founds Stratos Karts.

Kart Pro merges operations with Stratos.  The new company, known as Kart Pro Stratos and operated by Paul Molloy, provides a quality component line to compliment Molloy's chassis designs.
The emerging phenomena of Indoor Karting sweeps England and Europe, with promoters laying out tire-lined courses in warehouses and selling races on retired sprint kart chassis with low-horsepower 4-cycle engines installed.  In response to customer demand, Stratos produces the first purpose-built turn-key Adult Indoor Kart -- the AIDK series.
Stratos introduces its signature plug-in steering system, allowing for easy caster changes and isolating crash damage from the chassis.
Stratos pioneers the fully hand-brazed 4130 chromoly chassis.

First production of our proprietary polyethylene track rods.
Introduction of the original Junior Indoor Kart (JIDK series).
The Stratos "Long Life" MCR (Modular Chassis, Right-hand engine) is firmly established as the definitive leader in English and European Indoor Karting, and is breaking ground in the emerging United States market.
Stratos relocates to Orange County, California to focus on the North and South American markets.

Introduction of the XS, an outdoor version of the GS, using the same MCR chassis.  More than just a fleet kart, the XS is quickly proven competitive in 4-cycle sprint racing classes.
Stratos celebrates its 35th Anniversary in karting.

Introduction of the all-new TIG-welded iS platform, with improved standard features such as sliding adjustable seat, standard belt drive with easy-adjust tensioner, and under-wishbone tie rods.

With improved features such as a one-piece steering column, revised foot pedals, KCM brake master cylinder, bolt-on caliper mount and patented "A-Rubber" right-side protection, the iS_09 is Stratos' strongest, most user-friendly model yet.
