XTRA Slowdown Transponder / Anti-Powerbrake Module: Whether your facility uses electric motor, single gas engine or dual gas engine karts, deHaardt offers a slowdown transponder to meet your needs. With a molded V-shaped underside, the casing fits neatly around kart frame tubes and is easily secured using a single hose clamp. In conjunction with the deHaardt Remote Control Transmitter or Race Control System, course marshals may selectively slow any kart in the field, or slow the entire field using the All function. More than just a remote shutdown system, each transponder features wired-activation that can be tied in to a brake pressure switch to prevent customer from "power braking", greatly reducing clutch maintenance. XTRA Remote Control Transmitter: The portable, rechargeable Xtra Remote Control affords track operators and marshals fully mobile control over their karts and racing lights. Dedicated buttons on the keyboard allow for quick speed adjustments to preset levels for individuals, groups or all karts together. The speed limit can be adjusted easily with step-up and down buttons. Engines may be turned off completely, or the Penalty function can be utilized to slow specific karts or a pre-programmed amount of time, after which full power is restored automatically.

The XTRA Remote also integrates advanced mechanic's & operator features, including the ability to display engine hours and RPM in real-time, and PC connectability to allow for computer monitoring and recording of all on-track activities. XTRA Driver Information Display: In response to overwhelming requests from the market, deHaardt has developed the first fully-configurable driver display designed specifically for rental kart use. Styled in the fashion of modern racing kart dash displays, it functions as more than just a lap timer and is able to show kart position, race flags, safety instructions, active speed limits and penalties in real time. Commercial banners or personalized welcome messages can be displayed to drivers in the pits while waiting for the race to start. Information is displayed in large digital characters, providing excellent readability. A white backlight ensures visibility even in cases of low ambient light, and can be set to come on automatically when new information is available on the display. More Info...

XTRA Safety Light Controller: The Safety Light Controller board adds three main switches and four low-voltage signal inputs to connect green (start), red (stop) and yellow (warning) lights. Lights may then be controlled via a wired input signal or wirelessly using the Xtra Remote Control or a PC. Advanced system configurations allow inputs to be assigned to other functions as well. XTRA Track Sector Control System: Using the Sector Control allows for kart speed management differentiated by course sectors (zones) or specific locations. In the case of an accident, the speed of karts inside the yellow zone is limited automatically. The speed limit is automatically released once the kart has cleared the affected area.

Sector control can be utilized for Pit-In and Pit-out speed limiting. Once a kart passes into the pit area, its speed is automatically reduced while the other karts on the track retain their normal speed. When a kart exits the pits, full engine power is automatically restored. When used in combination with the XTRA Driver Information Display, the Sector Control system can also be used as a Start / Finish line marker for displaying lap times.

For circuits having 2 (or more) tracks which can be combined to form one large track, Sector Control allows for automated changing of XTRA Slowdown Transponder's Track and Group settings by simply driving the through a "configuration sector" set up in the Mechanic's area. More Info...

XTRA Race Control Software: With deHaardt's revolutionary XTRA Race Control software package, a single track operators or marshal has full control over all karts, racing lights and Driver Information Displays directly through a PC. From the main button panel, the speed of any kart can be limited, or the kart stopped completely. Penalties can be given with a user selectable penalty-time. Flag commands or custom text messages can be posted to the Driver Information Display either individually or in groups.

The software also features an automated race timer with the ability to control the Start (GREEN) and Stop (RED) racing lights. Race and heat times are completely user-configurable. Warning lights can be controlled during the race, or set to turn on automatically when the speed of the karts is limited. XTRA Range Extender AccessPoint: The XTRA Range Extender AccessPoint provides additional signal coverage for Remote Control, Sector Control and Safety Light Control in hard-to-reach areas of the course. Functioning as both a data forwarder and repeater, multiple Range Extenders can placed throughout your facility in order to maximize reliability.

In addition to its signal functions, the Range Extender also functions as a data access point. Each unit has an RS-232 serial port connector (convertible to USB) for PC connection, allowing the user to monitor and / or control karts or the entire track from any Range Extender location.
